What is X3 Pattern Notation Project
It is a project to develop the robust pattern notation frame work to accommodate simple and complex Tradable patterns in the financial market using one unified language. The very purpose is to compare patterns apple by apple. We believe that this project will improve our understanding about the financial market structure massively. Of course, the better knowledge will enhance our profitability in our trading too.
What Tradable patterns are we talking about?
We are talking about any patterns detectable using peak trough (high low) analysis including Elliott wave patterns, Harmonic patterns, and all the other patterns. However, this does not cover any patterns with indefinite number of construction points like triangle and wedges and cup and handles, etc.
Why do we need ?
Firstly, profitable patterns in the financial market are not bounded by 4, 5 or 6 points only. Secondly, profitable patterns are not bounded by Fibonacci ratios only. The profitable pattern can come from the domain of non-Fibonacci ratios. Existing framework is not flexible enough to accommodate these two points. So we are developing more flexible pattern frame work for all. Simply speaking we do this to break our imagination and boundary for our trading performance. We try to think outside box. As a trader, you should do that too rather than just believing what other people says.
How different X3 Pattern Notation from the other approaches
In our new notation, we use a triangle to describe the patterns. We found that using triangle gives an unlimited flexibility to describe any simple and complex patterns with the shorted possible description. Meaning of X3 is the triangle, which is made up from 3 points. Since the basic building block of the fractal geometry in the financial market is the triangle, this is probably the better approach than the rest.

how does X3 pattern notation look like?
For an example, Gartley pattern will look like this using X3 pattern notation. X3 pattern notation contains name, structure and idea ratios fields.

- Structure: N3, C0: 0.618 to 3 EFWs
- Ideal Ratios: S0: 1.618, S1: 0.382 -0.886, S2
